The Customer Service Account Representative advises and services the needs of newly enrolled students on their financial options offered to them.

The hours for this position are flexible and will be discussed during the interview, but the Advisor is required to be available to work between the hours of 8am - 7pm (Monday thru Thursday), 8am - 5 pm (Friday), and 9am - 4pm (Saturday).

The pay rate ranges from $18.63 - $20.19/hr

The Customer Service Account Representative will be responsible for:

  • Advises and services the needs of newly enrolled students on their financial options per company guidelines

  • Meets with applicants as part of the enrollment process and maintains ongoing communication to gather information for Financial Aid to complete processing

  • Provides a generic overview of the Financial Aid programs available to qualifying students attending the respective school, including local, state, and federal programs

  • Guides students on how to best gather the information to complete their paperwork successfully to meet the Financial Aid deadlines for completing the process; guides students and families through the paperwork completion phases

  • Introduces students to the Financial Aid online process in order to increase utilization, and improve packages performance

  • Explains direct and indirect school costs through simplified budget presentations and walks through a personal and school budget

  • Meets with students to present personally tailored tuition plans

  • Coordinates student stitch-in efforts with the directors of admissions and student management and the student's Financial Aid representatives

  • Follows up with students until they start school


  • A high school diploma or GED from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education is required

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Contract Management systems
